To support the healthcare needs of the increasing number of students , retirees , and other residents here , an investment of $ 181.5 million will bring to life a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient healthcare delivery system that also includes a new clinic . The new Scott & White Hospital - College Station will adjoin the new Scott & White Clinic - College Station on the expansive medical campus located at the corner of Rock Prairie and Texas Highway 6 . more will be available nearby , so the communities in this vibrant area can easily access healthcare expertise . An essential component is the new Scott & White Cancer Center - College Station , which will serve hundreds of people in the Brazos Valley area diagnosed with the disease each year . In fact , we treated 800 of the 1,600 patients diagnosed with cancer in 2010 in the Brazos Valley . Patients now will benefit from new clinical and mental health services , such as expanded chemotherapy infusion services and more , to be available in a comfortable environment that includes views of the hospital ’ s healing garden . Acquisition of radiation therapy services is on our wish list too .
