Scott & White Healthcare inducts inaugural
class of Fellows of Scott & White Clinic
cott & White Healthcare
honored three Central Texans
as it inducted the charter class
of the Fellows of Scott & White Clinic.
The celebration took place during
the annual spring physician dinner.
The designation of “Fellow” is a newly
created honor that recognizes individuals
who have greatly contributed to the
success, growth, and advancement of
Scott & White.
“We felt that after 115 years
of serving Central Texas, it was an
appropriate time to begin formally
recognizing those who have helped us
achieve so much,” says Robert W. Pryor,
MD, MBA, Scott & White Healthcare
president and CEO.
“These individuals reflect the respect
and deep appreciation we hold for the
care delivered by our founders, Drs. Scott
and White, which began in a small,
simple clinic building in 1897,” says
Andrejs Avots-Avotins, MD, PhD, Scott
& White Clinic Board of Directors chair.
“When you see what Scott & White has
evolved into, and witness firsthand the
sacred trust our patients place in us, it is
only fitting to acknowledge those who
helped us reach this point.”
Two physicians and one former
board member make up the inaugural
class. THE CATALYST will recognize
each inaugural class member, beginning
with Dr. Jesse Ibarra’s profile in this
issue. Look for the next two issues to
introduce the other class members! n
