Vision Campaign Raises $ 103.5 Million !
Children ’ s Hospital Scott & White .
One of the areas we are passionate about is supporting members of the United States military and their families . More than $ 2 million has been received for the Military Homefront Services program from Texas Resources for Iraq- Afghanistan Deployment ( TRIAD ), the Dallas Foundation , Central Texas - Fort Hood Association of the United States Army ( AUSA ), and the Central Texas Veterans Community .
We could never have achieved all that we have so far without your support and commitment . A collective compassion and belief in a better future galvanized all of you , in communities near and far , to help us reach our goal .
“ It ’ s about people wanting to make a difference in others ’ lives ,” says Robert W . Pryor , MD , president and CEO of Scott & White Healthcare . “ Because of the unwavering support of those who believe in Scott & White Healthcare and our mission , the growth of the healthcare system is a reality that ’ s touching the lives of more people .” It means that more people have been empowered to manage their health , with the support of experts at Scott & White who are dedicated to seeing the health status of our patients and families improve . It means more funds have been directed toward research , peeling back layers of complex clinical conditions and moving forward with targeted therapies .
All donations , regardless of size , have made tangible differences in improving the quality of life or saving the life of another person . These donations might have been for the recruitment of a medical specialist , the acquisition of new technology , or the continued education of a caregiver to do his or her job even better . You are the catalyst that helped make this happen !
“ The Vision Campaign affected almost everything we did in a 10-year period . Its successful completion is one of the achievements of which I am most proud ,” says Alfred B . Knight , MD , president of the Scott & White Healthcare Foundation . Dr . Knight led the campaign effort launch in 2001 as then president and CEO of Scott & White Healthcare . “ It truly is a testament to the strength of the Scott & White family , both on our campuses and in the communities . It ’ s an unbreakable bond , one that helps us lock in a healthy future . We made this investment in our futures together .”
Nancy Birdwell says , “ We ’ re proud to be at the forefront of leading people into healthier futures . We are grateful to each of you for traveling alongside us . We are excited about the future and what we can accomplish together . We look forward to continuing to change lives for the better .” For more information , visit foundation . sw . org . n
