THANK YOU A period of unprecedented growth and expanded access to healthcare has helped define the first decade of the 21st century for Scott & White Healthcare, and continues to shape its future P hase I and Phase II of the Scott & White Healthcare Vision Campaign recently concluded, raising $103.5 million in nine fiscal years. “This is a milestone in Scott & White Healthcare’s history and documents the importance of philanthropy and its influence on the growth of the healthcare system to help more patients live better lives,” says Nancy Birdwell, executive vice president and chief executive officer, Scott & White Healthcare Foundation. The campaign’s success has helped to transform the delivery of high-quality, accessible healthcare throughout Central Texas. It has also catapulted Scott & White Healthcare closer to achieving its Vision of being the most Trusted and the most Valued name in American Healthcare. Before the campaign launch, Scott & White board leaders recognized a profound need among the communities the healthcare system served. A need for more services to be available close to home for a rapidly expanding population. A need that required raising the level of healthcare excellence through additional services, without compromising our high ethical standards, and unwavering commitment to treating patients with compassion. It required convenient locations that would benefit patients in the vast geography Scott & White serves, and a more robust effort to advance medical education and research initiatives.
