THANK YOU
A period of unprecedented growth and expanded
access to healthcare has helped define the first
decade of the 21st century for Scott & White
Healthcare, and continues to shape its future
P
hase I and Phase II of the
Scott & White Healthcare
Vision Campaign recently
concluded, raising $103.5 million in
nine fiscal years. “This is a milestone
in Scott & White Healthcare’s history
and documents the importance of
philanthropy and its influence on the
growth of the healthcare system to
help more patients live better lives,”
says Nancy Birdwell, executive vice
president and chief executive officer,
Scott & White Healthcare Foundation.
The campaign’s success has
helped to transform the delivery of
high-quality, accessible healthcare
throughout Central Texas. It has also
catapulted Scott & White Healthcare
closer to achieving its Vision of being
the most Trusted and the most Valued
name in American Healthcare.
Before the campaign launch, Scott
& White board leaders recognized a
profound need among the communities
the healthcare system served. A need
for more services to be available close
to home for a rapidly expanding
population. A need that required
raising the level of healthcare excellence
through additional services, without
compromising our high ethical
standards, and unwavering commitment
to treating patients with compassion. It
required convenient locations that would
benefit patients in the vast geography
Scott & White serves, and a more robust
effort to advance medical education and
research initiatives. This recognition
among leadership was a turning point
