Josh has muscular dystrophy, a
progressive disease that makes walking
and balance difficult. Complications
from the disease have kept him in
the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at
the McLane Children’s Hospital Scott
& White, for more than a year. As
part of the Child Life Department,
Ms. Woodward’s visits are both a break
in the day for Josh and a routine he can
count on.
