1 / 2 cup milk 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla 1 1 / 2 tablespoons sugar 6 tablespoons salt Ice

Freezer Bag Ice Cream

1 / 2 cup milk 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla 1 1 / 2 tablespoons sugar 6 tablespoons salt Ice

Preparation

Fill a gallon size freezer bag half full of ice and add the salt. Put milk, vanilla and sugar into a pint size freezer bag and seal it. Place the small bag inside the large one and seal again carefully. Shake until mixture has solidified, about five minutes. Take the inner bag out and rinse gently under cold water to remove salt water. Cut a corner off of the small bag and squeeze into a cup or cone.
Please feel free to add ingredients to your icecream prior to mixing- chocolate syrup, nuts, sprinkles, fruit- use your imagination. I personally love extra vanilla and a bit of cinnamon. Yum!
Makes one serving.

Client Success

Chris and Heidi Evans, newly married, learned about the CASH Program and were excited to begin saving for a new home for their newly combined family. They were hoping to relocate from McPherson to Hutchinson.
During this same period of time, IHS was working with the local students at the Hutchinson Career & Technical Education Academy to build a new, energy efficient home.
Chris and Heidi toured the home and decided it was for them. They had saved diligently and were able to purchase this home, and moved in to the home in April! Congrats to Chris and Heidi!
