Written by: Soror Non-Chalant
You get the sense you’re going to
hear a great story when speaking with Soror
Illustrious, there a
reason for her name.
Getting set up for the
interview you notice
her internal shine and
can’t help but to
smile. The first
question is standard,
but her answer is
anything but… ”So,
tell me who you are?
Who is Ayanna J.
Fullwood?”
“Ayanna is a
work in progress; a
woman of strength
and good character.
She’s someone who is
easy going, loving,
honest and loyal; a
woman of all trades.
Ayanna is the type of
woman who takes
pride in her geniality;
she will give you the clothes off her back
and the shoes off her feet, but never take
her kindness for granted…she will snatch
your head off! Ayanna is a very spiritual
woman who puts God before everything!
She is Inspirational.”
Ayanna Jasmine Fullwood was born
on November 3rd to George and LaRunda

three sisters – Inayah, Nyeshia and

Ayanna resides in Dallas, Texas and works in
the IT Operations: WorkForce Technology
Services department submitting network
access for new hires at Capital One.
In the spring of 2011, Ayanna
became an astute member of Alpha Pi Delta
Sorority, Inc. She is now known to her
Sorority Sisters
respectfully as
“Illustrious.”
When I asked
why she joined
Alpha Pi Delta
Sorority, Inc.,
she proudly
answered, “I
wanted to be
part of an
organization
that stood for
something. I
wanted to be
amongst
women of
virtue that
would
challenge me
to grow.”
During
our interview,
Ayanna spoke
passionately
about how she wanted her community to
take action. “I want people to take a stand
and unite so that the community can grow
and stand out in a positive light. I would like
