A new public relations and creative agency in
Wiltshire has appointed a Junior Creative. Ollie
Robson, 20, brings his graphic design skills to
the team. Coming from a role within the printing
industry, Ollie was looking to kick-start his career in
illustration, graphic and web design.

a number of business-enhancing services

Forward Swindon
Appoint Interim Chief
Executive Officer
Forward Swindon, the company set up to deliver
and facilitate economic growth and regeneration for
Swindon, has appointed a new interim CEO.
Deborah Heenan will join the team on
Monday 3 November. She brings with
her specialist knowledge and skills in
housing, development and urban policy
in both the public and private sectors.
Deborah has most recently been
leading the local authority’s Wichelstowe
development project.
Forward Swindon’s Board and
shareholder Swindon Borough Council
have agreed that while a process to recruit
the permanent position is underway, it is
important for the company to be supported
with an experienced head to oversee the
current delivery plan.
This appointment follows the news
earlier this month that the current CEO
Ian Piper has resigned. Ian has been
offered a senior role at the Homes and
Communities Agency working on the
national priority to make more public
land available for housing.
Mike Godfrey OBE joins
Swindon Mindful Employer
Council of Reference
Mike Godfrey OBE is to join the Council of Reference
for the Swindon Mindful Employer Network. The
Council supports and guides the network on behalf
of local businesses and will help develop the initiative
over the next few years.

Mike recently left Honda of the UK
Manufacturing after 40 years of experience in
the automotive industry. As a non-executive
director of GWE Business West, he helps to
provide support for business growth whilst
providing linkages between both national
and local government functions.
Mike is coordinating an employment and
skills strategy for Swindon, linking the public
and private sectors with a priority for youth
employment by matching business needs and
skills provision. He chairs the Advisory Board.
He retains contact with a number of senior
professionals in the automotive business and

related trade organisations, and continues
to work with the Swindon and Wiltshire
Local Enterprise Partnership on advanced
manufacturing topics, alongside the
University of Cambridge. He also supports
the LEP sub-group on employment and skills.
