A year of change at Heywood House
The team at Heywood House have had a busy end to 2023 with lots of exciting new developments .
The space in the heart of the mansion , the main hall , has been reconfigured to provide a wonderful new setting for working , informal meetings , networking and general relaxation .
Fiona Boobbyer , Business Development & Events at Heywood House , said , “ The new set up in the main hall also provides us with the opportunity to branch out to host larger events with 1,300 sq . ft . of floor space and AV equipment . It also gives us the flexibility for the room to be set up in a standard informal lounge layout , as well as conference or cabaret style . This new space is now available for exclusive hire . Please do reach out if you ’ re looking for a venue to host your 2024 event .”
The co-working space at Heywood House has also been moved into its own private office in the Danby room . One of the best rooms in the house , it provides a spacious workspace with stunning views across the front lawn and lake . The co-working facility ’ s security has also been improved with access control added to the Danby door , so members can enjoy a day working at Heywood House knowing that their equipment and personal items remain secure at all times .
Fiona , added , “ The end of 2023 has been all about planning ready to welcome members old and new in 2024 . We ’ ve been busy planning more exciting events for our tenants and members to enjoy including history tours , yoga classes and more . These events offer a great opportunity to meet fellow Heywood House members and make new connections , all whilst participating in an enjoyable activity . We have a lot more ideas in the pipeline , so watch this space !

2023 has been another challenging year for many with the impacts from the energy and cost of living crises , along with lingering effects of Brexit and Covid , so it has been a tough time for businesses of all sizes .
Planning for risks to your business has never been more important and is a key part of the PCH Business Review process – anticipating that something will go wrong or becoming challenging in the business , is critical . A client this year has achieved astonishing progress , after working flat out and struggling to grow the business over the last 10 years , they paused to imagine what success might look like in five years ’ time .
A year on , the business is scaling fast , the process benefitting everybody and amazingly , the main supplier was so blown away by the plan to scale the business sustainably , that they offered my client , the sole UK licence for the product – which will accelerate growth even faster .
The owner has benefitted from being able to grow the business , talk to more customers , grow the team and yet have significantly more time with the family , they are well on the way to winning their Gold .
