One of the most popular Techies awards celebrates emerging talent and looks for those at the start of their career ( under 25 years old ) the Future Tech Superstar .
The winner of this category was Callum Macnab , Apprentice Network Engineer at ISN . Callum who is just 20 years old started to explore how to build computer games aged just eight . He did this after his father , an engineer and Callum ’ s idol , said he didn ’ t know how the games worked . Not used to hearing his father admit to not knowing something , this spurred this young man into action and he became determined to learn the tech and he admits became a proud ‘ tech geek ’. A former pupil of Bradon Forest School in Swindon and then New College , Callum is excited about his future in tech .
“ I ’ m so delighted to get this award and I cannot thank ISN enough for taking me on . It ’ s a great company to work for .” The Techies judges were impressed by the comments about Callum from ISN ' s senior management team .
