Adrian Clarke and Barny Guthrie Founders of Clinical Partners
The founders of fast growing digital and face to face mental health care providers , Clinical Partners , will be outlining their journey in a keynote session where they will highlight how they have tried to ‘ do business brilliantly ’. They ’ ll touch on many challenges close to any entrepreneur ’ s organisation - the difficult subject of knowing when to invest and when not to spend – both the directors have differing viewpoints ; how they created a Senior Management Team and their decision process on selecting the team ; the growing pains from expanding their employee numbers from 3 to 300 in a short period ; knowing when to ask for help from third parties and how they navigated their way through obtaining a contract with the NHS .
As well as providing insight into their journey ,
Clinical Partners are also sponsoring the Conference and Expo this year . Based in Salisbury the firm provide expert advice from trusted clinicians online , in-person or over the phone , either privately or via the NHS . Their advice covers all areas of mental health and includes autism , depression , ADHD , self-harm and eating disorders for adults and children .
SME Panel Discussion There will also be a third Keynote session in the format of a panel , led by SWLEP CEO , Paddy Bradley , who will discuss with local SMEs what ‘ doing business brilliantly ’ means for them , the support they require and their thoughts for the future of business in our region .
WHY A DIGITAL CONFERENCE AND EXPO ? The Swindon and Wiltshire area covers 3,485 km2 and therefore any travel across the region not only takes time but it also contributes significantly to carbon outputs . The SWLEP team calculated that by holding the event online last year , they saved carbon emissions equivalent to boiling a kettle for 140,000 cups of tea , and that calculation didn ’ t take into account the travelling of the international visitors from Africa , Europe and the United States who attended the conference .
Paddy Bradley , CEO of the SWLEP , said , “ By hosting the event digitally , we prevent unnecessary travel , saving time and carbon emissions . We estimated a saving of circa 2.1 tonnes of CO2e by holding the 2021 Conference online . Hopefully an example of the SWLEP striving to do business brilliantly .”
WHAT ABOUT NETWORKING ? As some are considering venturing out into the ‘ real world ’ again for networking opportunities , these are still limited to the people from that locality . Using the HopIn digital platform , it will enable visitors from across the UK and the globe to join the event , giving attendees the opportunity to mingle with a much greater mix of people .

Huge thanks to the event ' s sponsors

There will be the opportunity to reach out to the list of attendees to have conversations ; engage in ‘ random ’ networking in a similar way to bumping into someone at a real live event . These networking opportunities can be either via message or a video call . You can also retain digital business cards .
In addition , there will be organisations and SMEs exhibiting within the expo area where you can again request a video call with the exhibitor or contact after the event .
