Throughout the past 12 months , the Swindon Chamber of Commerce ( part of the Thames Valley Chamber Group , an accredited member of the British Chambers of Commerce and the only accredited Chamber in Swindon ) has been supporting its members with a series of learning events and networking .
BUSINESS NEWS
Following the last budget , the Swindon Chamber was pleased to support and champion the extension of the coronavirus job retention scheme until a full reopening was possible . This was alongside the extended self-employed income support scheme and other business initiatives to assist the local community .
Additionally , the Chamber has hosted a series of high-profile Hospitality and Tourism Roundtable events with keynote speakers , allowing representatives from across the industry to share their views , feedback and strategies for moving forward . These findings have been reported back directly to the British Chambers which will subsequently share
and deliver the results to Downing Street . Companies from across Swindon working in the sector were represented and shared their views .
At the beginning of June , the Swindon Chamber will be actively consulting with businesses to understand their views on the region through its next Quarterly Economic Survey . This short survey allows and encourages businesses of all sizes and sectors to make their voices heard . Open to members and non-members , it showcases what is truly happening in the region , with the results highlighting current trends and themes .
