Britannia Quickmove and Phillips Removals move on
We ’ re excited to announce that Jordan Bignell who started his career at Britannia Quickmove as an apprentice has completed a buy-out scheme alongside his wife , Chloe who also works at Britannia .
Elm Group owners , Daren Spencer , Ian Powell and Sandie Mills are working with Jordan and Chloe as they embark on this journey as mentors . This forms part of the agreement which was signed on 1st July .
The Britannia Quickmove and Phillips Removals business has grown dramatically since the brands became part of the Elm Group three years ago , growing in turnover from a quarter of a million to a million . Daren Spencer , said , “ This is an exciting time for Jordan and Chloe and we can ’ t wait to realise further success as part of the buyout scheme . The aim is to make the business much more digital-first in its delivery , using app and video technology to streamline processes for both the business and our customers .
“ It ’ s been fantastic to see Jordan ’ s development . He ’ s literally learnt the ropes from the bottom up and understands how the business works . During his time with us he ’ s completed a removal survey course and is currently completing a Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management .”
Following lockdown , the removals team worked fast to clear the backlog of people waiting to move and it ’ s been a really busy time assisting with new residential and commercial moves .
Lockdown forced quick digital transformation at Britannia Quickmove and Phillips Removals with the team relying on video surveying to complete customer quotes . Where we used to complete 7 / 8 site surveys a day , we ’ re now completing up to 15 by using the video technology rather than going out to quote on a job .
Jordan said , “ Chloe and I are thrilled to have come to this agreement with Daren , Ian , and Sandie . We ’ re both passionate about this business and can ’ t wait to continue its growth as we progress through the buyout . It ’ s a steep learning curve but we ’ re ready for the challenge .
