CHIPPENHAM BUSINESS AWARDS
SHINES LIGHT ON THE TOWN
Thursday 13th February 2020 saw the Chippenham Business
Community come together in a celebration of the town’s successes.
The fourth Chippenham Business Awards, organised by
Chippenham BID with support from title sponsors Alliance
Pharmaceuticals Ltd, welcomed 150 guests to the event held
at the Neeld Community and Arts Centre.
Ten awards were given in a range of categories, with
eight of the ten categories open for self-nomination and the
remaining two chosen exclusively by the judges.
Kathryn Crosweller, Manager of Chippenham BID, said, “It
has been a real honour to play a part in celebrating the hard
work that goes into making a business successful. From
the micro to the international, there is a phenomenal range
of industry in and around Chippenham and there can be no
doubt that Chippenham is a fantastic place for companies to
do business.”
CEO of Alliance Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Peter Butterfield,
said, “People build businesses, and it’s great to be part of
an event that recognises that. Last year we were thrilled to
be named the Best Place to Work and also win the overall
Business of the Year award. It’s a fantastic event and we are
proud to be sponsors and to be associated with it.”
Fiona Spears of Emery Gate Shopping Centre, presented the
Customer Service Award to Rachel Terry from the Citadel Hall.

for the whole of the Mintivo team that work so hard.
“I am particularly proud to have been presented with the
overall Business of the Year accolade. It’s thanks to our staff
and customers that we are in the position to be considered
for these awards. We work hard to ensure culture, people and
development are at the core of our business, so winning the
Best Place to Work was a great recognition of that. Our ethos
is that happy and committed staff will deliver the excellent IT
support we pride ourselves on.” Jessica Pillow, Director of Pillow May accountants,
winner of the Charitable Business of the Year category said,
“Winning charitable business of the year meant so much to
Pillow May as we are passionate about giving back to those
less fortunate than us and it is one of our core values. The
judges recognised that charitable giving was a fundamental
part of our business and absolutely built into every area from
client service to team engagement. 2019 (our 10th birthday)
was a very special year for us as we were personally able
to witness the impact of our fundraising during our trip to
Cambodia. The award has been great for raising the profile
of the fabulous charity in Cambodia (Free to Shine) and
hopefully shows that small business can still make a BIG
impact!”
