EDITOR’S NOTE
Welcome to a special edition of The Business Exchange,
celebrating Swindon and Wiltshire’s creative talents.
Turn to pages 16-19 to see the amazing skills that we
have on our doorstep. Our front cover showcases a
recent project by Bradford on Avon-based jeweller, Lee
Orton. Lee was commissioned to make this wonderful
sterling silver house. Crafted over months in painstaking
detail, literally tile by tile, the house was created to scale
and includes over 37 sets of windows, unique doors and
features. It even has gutters and drainpipes!
There’s no denying the world has gone wild over Coronavirus
and it is an unsettling time for us all, however positivity is key
and we’ve tried to focus many of the pages of this magazine on
the great things happening in our business community. Turn to
pages 7-8 to see how local firms are embracing the COVID-19
challenge.
Throughout the Coronavirus crisis The Business Exchange
will be supporting organisations with their stories and marketing
efforts. It’s business as usual for us, apart from having to pause
our planned events until it’s safe to host gatherings again. In the
interim we’re working on new digital ways to help you connect.
Follow the hashtag #TBESupport on social media and keep
updated by visiting our websites.
We are lucky to have such a supportive community in Swindon
and Wiltshire and I’m positive we’ll get through this. I can’t wait
to see you all in person very soon.
