The Business Exchange Swindon & Wiltshire Edition 42: April/May 2019 | Page 12
We’re on the hunt for the best in
Wiltshire tech - and the clock is ticking!
The Business Exchange is encouraging Swindon & Wiltshire firms to enter the Techies 2019.
The Techies is a Business Exchange initiative designed to celebrate the innovation
and entrepreneurship of the local IT community, bringing together the finest talent.
The awards scheme is supported by the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP)
as headline sponsor, alongside category sponsors Thrings Solicitors, Basepoint Business Centre, Elm
Workspace, Britannia Quickmove, Hartham Park and the Corsham Institute.
Techies organiser, Anita Jaynes, said, “The awards are open to all businesses regardless of size. You
could be a one-man-band working in your bedroom or a large corporation. Our judges will be reviewing
entries on merit and what has been achieved by the entrants in each category.
“You don’t have to be a tech focussed business to enter the awards. All firms with IT departments or
using tech in an innovative way are invited to enter. We are also looking for more young entrepreneurs,
students and apprentices to enter this year. There is so much talent in Swindon and Wiltshire and we
want to celebrate it!”
