SMARTech ENERGY CELEBRATES 50% BUSINESS GROWTH Strong-growth and expansion, fuelled by a demand for energy efficient technologies has served as SMARTech energy’s driver for success in 2018. The Corsham-based energy reduction and management specialist have announced a 50% business growth in 2017/2018 (YR4), a 50% increase in staff and 100% increase in profit. Contributing factors to this success are new and continued business from clients, including Wiltshire Council, manufacturing giants, Herman Miller and Nampak, Greenwich Leisure Limited (owners of The Link Leisure Centre, Swindon) and Corsham based Octavian Wines. Founding Director of award-winning SMARTech energy, Stuart Pearce formed the company in 2014 and since then, has firmly established itself as one of the major players in the energy management and reduction sector - typically reducing a commercial organisation’s energy consumption by 30%- 50%. With consistent growth throughout 2018 continuing, MD Stuart Pearce says, “In 2019, we will continue to address the significant demands and mounting pressure on organisations in both the public and private sector to cut carbon emissions and reduce costs”. Stuart adds “Many businesses have realised that going beyond environmental compliance makes good business sense and can help improve their long-term success. The Government’s mandatory Energy Saving and Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a prime example of where businesses and organisations have embraced a greener approach to energy usage and by treating it as an opportunity to not only reduce their energy costs, they are saving money on their bottom line too”. It’s the change in the approach to sustainable energy management, together with a huge amount of ‘green’ initiatives – including government grants and tax electrical services, SMARTech heating and cooling and SMARTech power management. Led by the needs of its customers, the focus behind the new sites will enable SMARTech energy to completely overhaul how it manages its products and service offerings; enabling businesses and organisations to have a more informative experience about credible energy saving solutions. Stuart adds “We have an ambitious growth plan for 2019 and as a supplier and installer of more than 30 low-carbon technologies, the new websites offer a platform to showcase our in-depth electrical testing and inspection. “going beyond environmental compliance makes good business sense and can help improve long-term success.” THE BUSINESS EXCHANGE 2018 The company’s success has recently been further endorsed by awards and industry accreditations, such as those from The Carbon Trust, the NICEIC and the Safe incentives to help fund projects, that has further helped with companies becoming more engaged with the idea of energy management and reduction”. A strong focus on the sales and marketing strategy in 2018 has seen the launch of SMARTech energy’s new website, plus the addition of four specialist services websites – SMARTech energy consultancy, SMARTech knowledge and technical capabilities within the sector.
