South West Business Finance open
for lending in 2019
Dan Smith, co-director of South West Business Finance (SWBF)
reviews his 2018 and looks ahead to the new year.

2018 was a great year for SWBF. We
increased our support to clients by sourcing
circa £100 million of debt during the
period. There was also a big increase in the
number of newly introduced businesses
to us, highlighting our collaboration with
professionals in the local area. I believe this
is testament to our ability to find the right
solution by spending time on making sure it
fits the clients expectations.
Inside the business we have strengthened
our operations and compliance procedures,
investing in new CRM and management
systems and more importantly good people.
Our 2019 financial year has got off to a
fast start but there may be bumps in the
road with Brexit looming. That said, we have
access to over 200 lenders and alternative
finance options, so we will be able to
support local business with their finance
requirements. The biggest challenge will be
staying abreast of all the options available.
Alternative finance is ever-growing and
becoming more visible to the general public
and with our background and experience we
feel it is well worth assessing the options
with us first to ensure you have the best fit
for your needs.
SWBF is made up of a team of
commercial finance advisors with over
300 years’ combined experience in raising
finance.
