BUSINESS NEWS Award-winning recruitment company 24-7 Staffing set to grow Expansion is on the horizon for leading Wiltshire recruitment company 24-7 Staffing, which has two new offices in its sights as part of ambitious development plans. Chippenham-based 24-7 Staffing – recent winner of both the Wiltshire Business Services to the Community Award and the Chippenham Business Customer Services award – is on target to bring its number of offices to five, with plans to open two further branches in 2019 and 2020. The company already has a branch in Salisbury and a newly relocated office in Bristol, as well as its Chippenham headquarters. It is also recruiting for 40 of its own staff to meet its growth plans. “Key to our expansion is recruiting, training and retaining our own staff,” said managing director and founder Julian Thompson. “We put the same effort into our internal recruitment process as we do for our clients, and our on-going training and career development enables us not only to attract talented individuals but retain them.” Julian said the company had adopted a new approach to its own recruitment, by looking beyond the industry. He said: “We want high calibre people, with the right attitude, who we can train ourselves and so have invested in a specialist recruitment training package. Every internal recruit must work their way through this bespoke training package, covering all aspects of the recruitment industry as well as internal company processes and systems. This new strategy also gives our staff a strong career path, where they can progress towards more senior roles.” The company’s associate director, Paul Squires, is now heading up internal recruitment and training . He’s able to focus exclusively on this role following the appointments of new branch managers in Bristol and Chippenham – the offices Paul had been overseeing. 24-7 Staffing has also taken on a non-executive chairman, Jonathan O’Shea, who is working with the management team to help develop the business. Jonathan is an experienced senior executive and is a facilitator for The Alternative Board, which helps forward-thinking business owners grow their businesses and increase profitability. Julian said: “Relieving Paul from day-to-day tasks and taking on Jonathan are important developments, which will help us focus on our goals and meet our targets.” 24-7 Staffing was set up in 2004, initially as an agency placing drivers, using Julian’s extensive industry knowledge. It now has four strong divisions: driving, commercial, industrial and healthcare. This year alone, 24-7 Staffing AWARD WINNING RECRUITER FOR PERFECTLY PLACED PEOPLE has seen 25 percent financial growth, taken on an average of two new clients a week and has strengthened all four divisions, particularly healthcare. This is now the company’s fastest growing division and it is in the process of launching a Care Academy. 01249 447247 [email protected] @247staffing NEW BRISTOL OFFICE Now open!
