SMEs to benefit from new
business park
The small businesses community in Wiltshire is due to receive
a boost thanks to Hawke Ridge Business Park.
Plans have revealed that the 35-acre park
between Trowbridge and Westbury will give
owners of small businesses the opportunity
to future proof their companies at Wiltshire’s
newest business park. Property developers
HPH Ltd have submitted a detailed planning
application to Wiltshire Council for a small
business unit scheme providing 53,500 sq.ft.
of much needed commercial space.
The scheme, to be called Kestrel Court, will
include 20 units ranging in size from 1,500
to 5,500 sq.ft. There will also be parking for
99 vehicles, secure parking for 20 bicycles
and electric vehicle charging points. The
application signals an exciting new phase in
the development of the £50 million Hawke
Ridge Business Park.
Chris Wordsworth, development director
at HPH Ltd, said: “Although we have the
capacity to accommodate large space users
at Hawke Ridge Business Park we also want
to create facilities that enable businesses of all
sizes to thrive and succeed. “We are offering
occupiers an array of benefits from modern
efficient buildings to ultrafast broadband,
which will not only support their business
today but future proof their operations.
“This latest detailed planning application
for 20 commercial units is specifically
designed with the small business community
in mind. We have already had a huge amount
of interest in the units which demonstrates
the current lack of supply in Wiltshire.”
Around £2 million worth of works has
already been completed at Hawke Ridge
Business Park including a new roundabout,
access roads, connection to mains services,
landscaping, bus shelters and new signage.
