RECRUITMENT Hear it from the experts… Permanent job market booms in 2017 The teams at Juice have seen a marked increase in permanent placements in the early months of 2017 At the beginning of 2017, Juice spoke to many employers across the South West about their recruitment plans for the forthcoming year. Organisations were keen to expand their businesses and develop their teams with employers determined to continue with their growth plans in 2017. Juice has experienced this first hand with a marked increase of 27% on permanent placements compared to the same months of 2016. Juice’s experience of the job market is supported by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s (REC) Jobs Report that signaled a further marked increase in staff placements in January despite the rate of growth easing to its slowest since September 2017. Candidate availability however, continues to tighten alongside permanent staff starting salaries increasing, meaning that employers “The teams at Juice have seen a significant increase in demand for permanent staff members in 2017 with employers needing candidates to fill their vacancies.” are having to pay more to attract candidates for their vacancies. The REC’s Jobs Report highlighted that demand for staff remained considerably stronger in the private sector compared to the public sector. Furthermore, private sector permanent staff vacancies increased at the sharpest rate for a year and a half at the start of 2017. Juice’s Wiltshire manager, Natarlee Lawrence said: “The Wiltshire team at Juice has seen a significant increase in demand for permanent staff members in 2017, with employers needing candidates to fill their vacancies. It is interesting that businesses are opting for the permanent recruitment option highlighting confidence in the economy.” “Juice is very proud to be representing some exceptional candidates in the Wiltshire market and it is our role as experienced recruiters to ensure businesses know of the talent available locally. This allows organisations to plan and work ahead to secure the right candidates for their vacancies.” For more info: www.juicerecruitment.com natarlee\@juicerecruitment.com 01225 752021 @JuiceRecruit Swindon College How can Apprenticeships deliver for your business?
