Manager at NSBRC
National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) is based just off J16
of the M4 in Swindon. It's the UK's only permanent venue for people
building or improving their own homes and offers free advice, support
and training. It also offers conference and meeting facilities, can
accommodate meetings for just two people up to 240 theatre style
for conferences and can host 1,500 delegates for business shows.
We met with Louise to find out more about her and her growth
progression at NSBRC.
How long have you been at the NSBRC?
I originally joined in 2008 and worked within
the business for a year in a sales role. I then
returned in 2013 as a part time receptionist.
Since then, I’ve worked my way up the ranks,
I was the centre’s full time front of house
supervisor before I was eventually promoted
to front of house manager. Now, as part
of the original team that formed a new
employee-owned business to operate the
NSBRC, I am part of the senior management
team.
