Wiltshire’ s ' Top 100 Hotel’
The Manor House Hotel in Castle Combe, near Chippenham is one of the most successful hotels in the region, being ranked at 40 in Wiltshire’ s Top 100( turn to pages 16-17 for more info).

The hotel, part of the Exclusive Hotels group, a family owned firm, has recently appointed executive head chef, Robert Potter. Robert brings 15 years of experience, having worked at many critically acclaimed hotels and restaurants across the UK. His aim is to create a relaxed fine-dining menu influenced by the seasons, using produce harvested in the hotel’ s grounds. Robert has already started making his mark on The Manor House’ s, Bybrook restaurant, having achieved 3 AA Rossettes within just two weeks of his appointment. He is also poised to acquire his first Michelin Star.

WILDCATS GET READY FOR A ROARING SEASON
Swindon Wildcats is on countdown to the launch of the 2016 / 2017 ice hockey season. Last year was an exciting time for the club, which has grown in more ways than one, with increased audiences and more corporate sponsors than ever before.
Other sports are struggling to fill their arenas on home game nights, but Swindon Wildcats are bucking the trend. On an average game night they are seeing audiences of 1,450 people, nearly filling their ice arena capacity of 1,600. This is largely down to creative marketing, high engagement with the local business community and their ability to form great press relationships.

SWINDON TECH SUMMIT
Plans are underway for a celebration of technological innovation on Saturday September 24, from 10am-4pm.
The idea is the brainchild of Matt Greenwood, owner of Desk Cowork, Swindon ' s first coworking space in Old Town.
The event will showcase cutting edge technologies and the town ' s tech-pioneers with a series of talks, workshops and demonstrations. The event is being sponsored by Nationwide ' s Innovation Lab. They will be there on the day to discuss their Crypto Currency project, as well as Curiscope- virtual reality and augmented reality specialist working on bespoke educational products.
Commercial solicitors, Clark Holt who are based along the road from Desk Cowork, will be offering additional space on the day for attendees to see demonstrations of the latest 3D printers and drone technology.
Workshops will also offer practical advice, with Crowd Funding expert Anthony Lovell de Souza providing a talk on how to fund your tech-start-up.
