The fourth in a successful series of free all-day
events to inspire and support local businesses
organised by The Enterprise Network Swindon
and Wiltshire will give an exciting glimpse into
the future.
To be held on Tuesday June 23 at TEN’s
Castledown Enterprise Centre at Ludgershall –
but live-streamed to the Network’s three other
Centres across Wiltshire at Salisbury, Trowbridge
and Royal Wootton Bassett - the day will begin
with a workshop by experts from Wiltshire’s
new 3D Enterprise Centre at Lackham (one of
TEN’s satellite enterprise centres.) “Businesses
will learn how they can design and create new
products using 3D printing, with live examples,”
said The Enterprise Network’s Rachel Finlay.
“There will also be information about where
to get advice, help and possible funding to
support design ideas - and how to protect
innovative designs.”
The lunchtime speaker will be former
BBC TV Newsnight, The Money Programme
and Panorama presenter Dr James Bellini, a
renowned futures analyst and writer with
a strong focus on social, economic and
technological trends over the next ten to twenty
years. Businesses with an eye on innovation will
also be able to meet a range of experts for free
advice and information during the afternoon.
Rachel Finlay said: “This is the concluding
event in our first Enterprise Series which started
with a focus on starting a business, then on
growing and finally, looking to the future with
innovation. Businesses from across Wiltshire
and Swindon have feedback that they found
the events stimulating and interesting.”
The Enterprise Network Swindon and
Wiltshire, a £5.2m initiative led by Wiltshire
Council with Government and EU funding,
is nurturing new and growing small and
micro businesses by supporting them right
from the first ‘light bulb’ moment. It has four
Enterprise Centres across Wiltshire offering
affordable offices, meeting rooms, co-working
and networking opportunities alongside free,
