BUSINESS NEWS SMARTech Energy Create A Spark At Enterprising Wiltshire Awards In less than 12 months of trading SMARTech energy have experienced incredible growth, resulting in them winning ‘Best Start-Up Business 2015’ in the Enterprising Wiltshire Awards. The biggest concern for any new business is its ability to survive those first 12 to 24-months. It is well known that companies who do pass these milestones are usually around for the long term and can enjoy relative success. However, there are some companies that surpass expectations and rather than settle for just surviving, they experience unsurpassed growth. SMARTech energy Ltd, based in Corsham, is one of these companies. Established in June 2014 they have had an impressive start to life and this is reflected in a forecasted turnover of £1.2million for 2015/2016. They currently have four members of staff and anticipate this figure will be doubled in the next six months. The company is focused on helping businesses take a fresh look at their energy usage. By measuring various aspects of their energy consumption, implementing energy saving measures and monitoring ongoing consumption, energy usage can be optimised and ultimately substantial savings of between 30-50% can be made. In recognition of their success and the positive impact that this has had across Wiltshire, both with employment and reduction in energy usage, SMARTech energy are delighted to have won ‘Best Start-Up Business 2015’ in the recent Enterprising Wiltshire Awards. This award, backed by Wiltshire Council and run by the Wiltshire Business Support, will further enhance the SMARTech brand as it brings a bespoke package of support and networking opportunities to help it fulfil the companies potential.
