QUALIFICATIONS AT BATH COLLEGE
Studying a part-time professional qualification at Bath College can help you
to upskill and improve your future career prospects.
Take a look at our part-time prospectus if

career change. We’re running a number of new courses,
including a 30-week course leading to a
Health and Social Care Higher National
Certificate (HNC).
We have a wide range of courses available,
leading to recognised professional
qualifications in subjects such as:
Animal Care
Teaching
Computing Floristry
Our business courses will help you to get a
head-start in accounting, marketing, human
resources, management and law This new course will prepare you for
supervisory or junior management level roles
within the health and social care sector. We’re
also offering qualifications in counselling,
emergency first aid at work and child care.
With a 16-week course, you can gain a
Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx)
qualification offering a unique route into the
legal profession.
You can also work your way up from a Level
2 AAT certificate in bookkeeping to a Level 4
professional diploma in accounting.

Students studying for a professional
qualification in beauty will be based at The
Academy, a fantastic facility open to the public
for hairdressing and complementary therapy
appointments.
You can study for a Level 2 diploma in
barbering, cosmetic make up and manicure or
a Level 3 diploma in Swedish body massage,
Thai massage and reflexology.
If you’d like to work in the building
industry, take a look at our site carpentry,
electrical installation, plumbing and welding
qualifications.
Or to work towards a career designing,
building or managing construction, take a look
at our Level 3 CIBE construction diploma.
We offer a number of distance learning
courses, from customer service and retail
operations to working with people with
mental health needs.
If you’re planning to go to university, our
Access to Higher Education Diploma will give
you the entry criteria and study skills for a
degree level programme.
Students choose from five diplomas:
education, health and social care, humanities,
science and social science, and go on to a
range of university programmes studying to
become paramedics, midwives and biomedical
science.
