Gill Freeman retires from Milsted Langdon
Gill Freeman , Head of Charity and Not for Profit at Milsted Langdon has retired after nearly two decades at the firm .
Gill joined Milsted Langdon ’ s Yeovil office in 2005 building a portfolio of commercial and charity clients . She developed a specialism in the charity and not for profit sector and became known as the ‘ go-to ’ accountant for the Third Sector across the South West .
This was cemented through her work with The Business Exchange in Bath , being a founding partner and sponsor of the TBE South West Charity Conference & Expo which has grown from 100 people in a room in 2018 to now attracting up to 600 people from across the country .
“ She has been a stalwart of the local business and Third Sector community for many years , and she will be greatly missed .”
Looking back on her career highlights , Gill said , “ In 2019 , I won the Successful Women in Business Award for Professional Services . This award recognised my work as a specialist advising charities and not for profit organisations and ownermanaged businesses . The award celebrates women who have demonstrated fantastic customer service and supported their industry by championing the success of other women , so this was definitely a highlight that I ’ m proud of .
“ It ’ s been wonderful to have been part of a team which has grown substantially since I joined Milsted Langdon 19 years ago . We ’ ve had some fun along the way – especially with my ladies ’ day events for referrers which have been a highlyanticipated fixture in the calendar each year .”

She has been a stalwart of the local business and Third Sector community for many years , and she will be greatly missed . I hope she enjoys a long and happy retirement with lots of holidays in the sun , which I know she loves .”
General Practice Director Karen Williams will carry on Gill ’ s legacy of the women ’ s events , including TBE ’ s annual celebration of International Women ’ s Day .
