RANKED 30TH IN SUNDAY TIMES 100 BEST COMPANIES

Bath-based law firm Royds Withy King is one of just six law firms from across the UK to be awarded the coveted three star ‘ extraordinary ’ rating by Best Companies in 2017 .
The firm , which has offices off Queen Square and on Midland Bridge , has also been ranked 30th in the Sunday Times 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For 2017 , climbing 15 places .
Speaking after the rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony held in London , Graham Street , managing partner at Royds Withy King , said : “ We are delighted to have achieved Best Companies ’ highest level of accreditation and to have climbed 15 places to be ranked 30th in the Sunday Times 100 top employers ’ league table . “ This award , which is independently judged based on confidential feedback from our lawyers and support staff , is testament to the environment and culture we have worked so hard to achieve and is reflected in the dedicated service every member of our team is committed to providing to our clients and the wider communities we serve . Our growing reputation as lawyers ahead of the curve is only possible by nurturing , motivating and developing our most valued asset – our people .”
In the independent survey which informed the league table , Royds Withy King was ranked 17th for ‘ personal growth ’, 24th for ‘ giving something back ’, and 26th for ‘ my team ’.
Other highlights included the announcement that 80 per cent of the 355 lawyers and staff from Royds Withy King who were polled , said they ‘ wouldn ’ t leave the job tomorrow ’.
Launched in 2001 , The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For is the most comprehensive analysis of workplace engagement , opinion and satisfaction in the
UK . Royds Withy King , which employs around 450 people in Bath , London , Wiltshire and Oxfordshire , is one of six UK law firms to have achieved ‘ extraordinary ’ status in 2017 - the top accreditation awarded by Best Companies to acknowledge workplace excellence .

Put your pedal to the metal

Bike Bath is returning to the city for its sixth year , on Sunday July 2 . An expected 1,000 participants will take part in the annual event with a series of marked rides of 25 , 50 and 80 miles , taking in the best scenery of Bath and the surrounding countryside .
Organisers , Iconic Cycling Events are urging corporate teams to sign up to the one day event as a great opportunity for team building and generally having fun . Confirmed riders so far include teams from Mogers Drewett , Royds Withy King and Epoch . Event sponsors include Hawke Ridge Business Park , HPH Commercial Property , Bath Ales , Cycle Scheme , and Moulton Bicycle company .
Bike Bath is a great way of boosting local charity pots too . Why not enter as an individual or as a team and get your ride sponsored ?
2017 entry fees are £ 35 for the two long routes and £ 22 for the short route for adults , with children being charged £ 12 .
One of last year ’ s cyclists said : “ As an experienced sportive rider , I am happy to say the signage was the best I have seen yet . Absolutely excellent value for money , we will definitely be back .”
