Natalie Charteris , Operations Director at SWBF said , “ We set off in two minibuses for the long journey to Scotland and the rain set in , this wasn ’ t to change over the weekend . An early start at 5am meant we were at the foot of Ben Nevis and raring to go by 7am . We made it to Scaffell Pike by 8pm where some of the team took on this mammoth challenge in the dark and extremely windy conditions ! Next it was onto |
Snowdon where we started the climb at 7am . The mountain climbs were harder than any of us could ever have imagined as we were met by sleet showers , -11 degree temperatures , pouring rain and thick fog .
“ Between the whole team we managed to summit all three mountains and a huge congratulations to Dan , Kai and Tom who made it up and down all three !
|
“ There were tears , injuries , exhaustion and more emotion than we care to think about . The amazing teamwork , the generosity from everyone who donated and the knowledge the money we were raising was going to support such an amazing cause at Youth Adventure Trust kept pushing us all the way .
“ We would like to say a huge thank you to our lending partners , clients , colleagues , friends and
|
family , and everyone else who donated to get us to the summits . It was an experience we won ’ t forget for a while !”
