THE RISE OF COWORKING

COWORKING CORPORATES

The use of coworking space has increased substantially since the pandemic, changing the way many organisations operate.
Analysts predict the number of coworking spaces worldwide will reach around 40,000 by the end of 2024. According to the Global Coworking Growth Study 2020, an estimated five million people will be based in coworking spaces in 2024, an increase of 158 per cent in just four years.
Bath and its surrounds are leaders in this trend with Bath and North East Somerset named as one of the top ten best places to live in a Hybrid Working Index created by Uswitch. com earlier this year.
In August 2021, we saw the opening of Rengen House, a new co-working space on Bath’ s Argyle Street, at the beginning of 2022 House of St John’ s opened its doors for the first time, and in August 2022, Coppa Club launched a new space in the former Gap store on Old Bond Street which is marketed as a space for people to work, eat, drink, meet or relax.
In this issue we put the spotlight on local coworking hotspots and why coworking is being embraced by people from all sectors.

What attracted you to HoSJ? The architecture, the location and the interior design originally attracted me to the House. The environment is informal and relaxed, yet not at all unprofessional.
The House has given me the opportunity to network and make great connections. The location is great, 1 Queen Square, you cannot get a better spot. It’ s now my head office address, rather than my London base.
How will the House benefit your business’ s future? As my team grows, we’ d look to jump into a larger office at the House where my team can benefit from the environment and networking opportunities first-hand.
