Following two years of Christmas being cancelled or severely restricted; pubs, bars, hotels and party venues have high hopes for it to be coming home in more ways than one this year, with the great return of the office Christmas party.
September is one of the busiest months for Christmas party bookings, with many venues releasing their offerings during the summer months. This year, with a real appetite for something special and key England games scheduled on evenings when Christmas parties would usually be taking place, party planners are being urged to be more organised than ever before.
There will be two camps on football at Christmas. Those who want to embrace it and not miss a second of the beautiful game, and others who will want to forget football fever, get their glad rags on and enjoy some good old festive fun.
Rumour has it in the marketing forums that one of this year’ s Christmas advertising trends is set to be nostalgia. According to a YouGov survey, 77 per cent of people say they feel more nostalgic at Christmas time. After two years of cancelled celebrations, many will be pining for a more traditional affair.
