No. 1 Queen Square gets set for the big reveal...

Katja Kammerer, Head of Operations No. 1 Queen Square.
After almost two years hidden behind hoardings and scaffolding, St John’ s Foundation is finally able to reveal the beautifully restored No. 1 Queen Square. Already part of St John’ s extensive property portfolio, returning the building to its former glory and repurposing it marks the charity’ s latest investment venture through its trading company. The Grade 1-listed, Georgian building commands a prestigious BA1 address and has been thoughtfully refurbished. It now hosts a variety of private offices; flexible and dedicated desks; meeting rooms and a stylish event space. Additionally,
members can expect 24 / 7 access. While the building has been sympathetically restored, designers have also made sure to include the trappings of the modern world too, including high-end fittings, ultra-speed broadband and attentive service staff. The space will be opening as an exclusive co-working environment in early Autumn 2021, providing the perfect place for the new, hybrid working lifestyle.
No. 1 Queen Square is the place where members are able to meet, network and socialise, as well as getting on with the serious business of making a living. The founding principles of membership are focussed on community, inclusion and
informal luxury and the aim is to bring together like-minded people, invested in social change.
Cathy French, Head of Communications at St John’ s, said,“ Finding the right person to head up such an enterprise is key to its success and, to help us in our search, we teamed up with Sam Laite of Forward Thinking Recruitment. With almost 150 people applying for the post, the successful applicant was Katja Kammerer. Formerly General Manager at The Ivy Bath Brasserie, Katja had been responsible for setting up and running the Bath arm of the upmarket chain and we are delighted to welcome her to No. 1 Queen Square.
“ As well as managing day to day operations, Katja will also be co-ordinating a busy calendar of events, seminars and networking opportunities to help nurture the‘ member focus’ of No. 1 Queen Square. Additionally, she will be developing relationships with local hospitality businesses to develop that‘ Just across the Square’ feeling and to further promote working in partnership with Bath’ s wider business community.”
