CELEBRATING BATH ' S BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR
A number of Bath-based firms have been recognised in the prestigious Best Companies To Work For lists 2021 . Apex Hotels , Circle Health Group , Curo and Pure Planet have all been celebrated for their commitment to their employees , demonstrating that they see workplace engagement as a vital part of their organisation ’ s success .
Best Companies was first launched in 2001 and is the brainchild of entrepreneur Jonathan Austin . As the owner of several businesses , Jonathan wanted to create a true measure of workplace engagement so he could learn how to build a happier , healthier workforce .
The first step was to develop a world-class methodology , which he did in collaboration with academics at the University of Plymouth . Since then , Best Companies has continued to grow and develop and is recognised as the standard in workplace engagement in the UK . It produces multiple lists recognising small , mid-size , large and national level organisations , with additional categories by region and sector .
Apex Hotels which owns Apex City of Bath Hotel was listed 19th in the ‘ Best Company in Leisure & Hospitality ’ list and achieved 48th in the ‘ South West

Pure Planet , the Bath-based fast growing renewable energy supplier , was ranked 1st in the ‘ Best Companies in Utilities ’, 3rd in the ‘ UK ’ s 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For ’ and 6th in the ‘ South West 50 Best Companies To Work For ’ lists .

Bath ’ s housing association and housebuilder , Curo , was listed at 5th in the ‘ Housing ’ s Best Associations ’, 79th in the ‘ UK ’ s Best Largest Companies to Work For ’ and 21st in the ‘ South West 50 Best Companies To Work For ’ lists .
