EDITOR’S NOTE
I can’t believe we’ve already reached this
year’s penultimate edition of The Bath &
Somerset Business Exchange.
The events of 2020 have definitely
seemed to make this year fly by quicker
than usual. I’m not sure about you, but
as we move into autumn with the schools
returning and many more people getting
back to the office, ‘normal’ life does seem
to be within reach. I think businesses are
in general feeling cautiously optimistic.
Whilst there are job losses and uncertainty
as we approach the end the furlough
scheme, companies are still recruiting
(see page 8) and Bath’s organisations
in many cases are defying the odds and
producing promising results (read Bath
Building Society’s news on page 13).
