The Invest in Bath team has
been co-ordinating support to
local businesses throughout the
Coronavirus public health crisis.
We’ve been sharing targeted business support and
financial assistance as and when news has been
announced. As Bath & North East Somerset Council’s
business support service, we recognise the challenges
faced by business during this period and are working
hard to keep our community strong during this
unprecedented time.

Reopening our city & town cen
From Monday 15th June many more shops will be reopening
as the Government eases some Covid-19 restrictions. Our
priority is to reopen the city centre safely and in a way that
promotes confidence in our high streets whilst protecting
public health.
We are planning for economic renewal in Bath and North
East Somerset for the next few weeks, months and longterm
beyond 2020. We are here to support the change and
can be of direct support to any business that needs it.
To enable social distancing, the council will be temporarily
closing some streets and widening pavements on others.

ACHIEVE LAUNCHES NEW AND
Invest in Bath’s skills partner, Achieve in B&NES,
Working alongside the Invest in Bath team, Achieve in
B&NES provides a job and course search service for
anybody wishing to enter the workplace or progress
their career. There are both free and funded courses
on offer, delivered by local providers.
Achieve in B&NES is keen to continue building on
its network of local businesses and support services
who can confidently offer real jobs, opportunities or
routes to employment.
