Financial centre of
excellence plan for Bath
BATH
FINANCIAL
FORUM
Visit Bath has partnered with Invest in Bath and Royds
Withy King in the aim of growing the city’s reputation
as a centre of excellence for financial services.
The newly created Bath Financial Forum
will provide opportunities for businesses to
collaborate, innovate and discuss the latest
trends in relation to local, national and
global financial issues.
Bath has over 13,000 people employed
in financial services across the city and this
sector is expected to account for almost
70 per cent of job growth over the next 10
years.
The forum will provide regular
networking events along with opportunities
for debate and information-sharing, raising
the profile of the city’s financial services
industry and attracting new talent to the
area.
The collaboration will launch with Tim
Warren, Leader of B&NES and the Council’s
Director of Economy and Growth, John
Wilkinson, delivering keynote addresses to
set out their vision for the future of financial
services in the region.
Graham Street, Managing Partner at
Royds Withy King, said, “The Bath Financial
Forum will provide a dynamic environment
for professionals to come together to
explore the opportunities to put Bath’s
financial services sector on the map.”
Emma Williams of Invest in Bath added,
