The winner is Bath on Ice/ Bath on the Beach “Bath on Ice has brought a different, younger and family demographic into the city ” Charlotte Thursz, Communications Manager at the BID reported; “The team behind Bath on Ice and Bath on the Beach has constantly innovated, improving their proposition to the public every year. They have added new attractions and improved the facilities and the food & drink offer. They have helped to develop a different part of town. Bath on Ice has brought a different, younger and family demographic into the city and the Bath on the Beach in the summer appealed to the office sector providing a different type of staff party.” SMART This category is for companies that use data, analysis and technology most effectively to enhance their offer and business results. The winner is Duo Boots “Duo Boots has been an advocate for the development of the footfall data provided by Bath BID” David Hobday, Bath BID Board Director presented the award; “Duo Boots has been an advocate for the development of the footfall data provided by the Bath BID in partnership with national footfall leaders Springboard. They have proactively encouraged the BID to progress the data, to share the data and help others with their analysis and they themselves have used the data to adjust and extend their opening hours to reflect potential demand. We appreciate their support and guidance.” PROSPEROUS This category is for any initiative that has led to a significant improvement in business results or has helped other achieve success. The winner is Adrian Dolan of Bath Aqua Glass @BathBID Maeve England, Chair of Bath BID presented the prize to Bath Aqua Glass in recognition of Sales Director, Adrian Dolan’s work with the Walcot Traders Association. “This has led to prosperity for nearly 90 businesses. ‘Better together’ sums it up. They have combined a several small projects that have had a big impact for how the area is seen by locals and visitors alike. The Walcot Trade Association has reinvigorated Bath’s Artisan Quarter with the Walcot Winterfest & Lantern Procession, Wild Walcot which has provided greenery and an environmental enhancement to the area, as well as a new website for the Quarter.
