Divide and rule : An
English tactic

Introduction :15 August 1947, The Indian Empire was
divided into two independent dominions: Indian Union and
Pakistan. This partition, which responds to community
tensions and the Muslim League campaign for a Muslim
state, is accepted by the Indian National Congress. Why just
after the living of the english few weeks before, the old
empire broke up in different parts ? Come back in the history
of one of the biggest colony of the English Empire.
