The events witnessed in Paris confirm that the popular party are now in complete control of Paris and are declaring themselves as completely triumphant.

A National revolution brought about in so short a period has almost o parallel in the history of the World and though fatal to some, no clear idea has emerged yet of the actual loss of life/

The Comte d’artois has fled Paris and has been reported to be travelling towards Germany.

A Messenger dispatched by Her Majesty the Queen of England to the Emperor was stopped by the French revolutionaries and the letter and the diamonds being carried by the messenger were taken from him.

Previous to the flight of the the Compte d’Artois , he and the Prince de Conde had been attacked by the revolutionaries and it seems as if the Prine was wounded.

Reports have reached the Offices of the Bridge that churches, monasteries and convents who had supported the King have been burned to the ground and it is thought the nuns have been ravished by the mob.

The paris opera house has been cleared of performers. The insurgents rushed in while they were practicing and evicted them saying these were days of mourning and not of play.

At eight O clock each morning the popular party give out bread to the rabble, but after this time there is no food to be had anywhere in Paris.
