WINTER OLYMPICS 1972
This olympic has been one of Norway`s best olympics. This time the olympic were held in Sapporo, Japan and lasted for ten days. This olympicwas the first winter olympic to be held outside of Europe and North-America.
There were 35 nations in the competition and Norway was ranked 7 out of 35 with a total of 12 medals.
Norway won two gold medals, one in biathlon and one in cross-country skiing. They won five silver medals, three in cross-country skiing and two in speed skating. They also won five bronze medals, three in cross-country skiing and two in speed skating.
Norway have been quite good in this olympic. Our athletes have been in very good shape, even in better shape than we expected. We hope
that the good results continue and hope for even more medals next time.
