or exchanging, and the larger it is produced in your own household.
The variety of Croatian areas (coastal, mountainous, lowland Croatia) has set
regional diet models. Their design was also influenced by influences foreign
types of culinary (Mediterranean, Central European, Balkan, Oriental) which
have reached different levels in certain areas.
In the 19th century in Croatian households were fed non-European origin
foods (maize, potatoes and beans).
Preparing food in the 19th century facilitated the invention of a stove (open
fireplaces were replaced by a stove) – only noble families could afford that.
