Boys' Sunday best clothes consist of a white shirt, a jacket with a large collar and shoes that button at the ankle. If you have a seamstress at home, then you’ve got it made. Clothes are sewn at home mainly by hand. People wear different clothes for different occasions. They have clothes to go to mass on Sundays, clothes for going out and clothes for staying at home. The most popular colour to wear is white. Women's clothes have to be tight at the waist, adorned with lace with a flowing skirt to the ground. For those who can afford it, they’ve added crinolines to make the dress larger at the bottom. Girls' wear loose dresses, with tight sleeves and a tight neckline. The dresses are adorned with bows. Men love wearing top hats, white shirts and a long coat to make them look masculine. Boys wear shirts, jackets with a large collar and shoes buttoned at the ankle. Peasant women always wear kerchiefs on their head, a sleeveless dress and a white blouse underneath. What’s new in the fashion world? The Slovenian national costume, of course!! Men look really COOL showing off their undergarments and breeches, not to mention the women's headdresses, where every stitch is sewn by hand.
