Explosion Traps Miners. Death Toll Set to Rise

A massive explosion at Felling pit drove before it
a roaring whirlwind of flaming air, tearing up
everything in its progress. Survivors say the blast
threw men and boys like rag dolls, the flames
scorched miners to a cinder and hundreds of
others are buried under heaps of ruins shaken
from the roof.
