In the middle Ages, most pilgrims took the same route through Burgos and Leon. However, nowadays there are several routes to choose from. Go to: www.tiching.com/743164, choose a route and plan your journey. Think about what you will take with you, bearing in mind that you will have to carry it all on your back. a. Recognize Camino de Santiago as an important commercial and cultural route. a. Use structures to plan a journey and decide what to take. Reading Comprehension. Writing. Reading Comprehension is an individual's ability to comprehend text is influenced by their traits and skills, one of which is the ability to make inferences. Medium Steps 1 Divide students into 2-person groups. The groups should be diverse in terms of gender, ethnicity, race, and ability. 2 Students read the text. Teacher project the text at the same time. 3 Students underlying vocabulary they do not know. Students firstly try to infer the meaning or ask to the teacher. 4 Choosing a route: In pairs, students write their choice (route) and planning their journey. 5 Deciding what to take: in pairs: students think about what they will take with them. 7 At the end, students read their choice and planning. Strengths Weaknesses Students develop their reading comprehension and writing. They know how to do it because they are used to doing that in English class. It really difficult to control if student are interacting in English or in their mother tongue. Students may need more time to assimilate the text and write. 4
