Quite simply, what Owen doesn’t know about butchery isn’t worth losing sleep over. How did you get started in butchery? What’s your favourite dish? When I started at the age of 14, I was a Saturday boy delivering meat on a bike throughout the Piddle Valley for a butcher called TD Whitemans. From there I trained up and became a butcher and ever since it has been my job. Butchery gives me a purpose. I like being asked questions and recommending the best cuts or dishes. lot throughout the years but the banter with the customers doesn’t change.
