limelight and playing football with Bottesford Town...
JAKE QUICKENDEN
Many people will know Jake
Quickenden as a singer who
competed in the very popular
British reality show X-Factor. In
the 2012 series he got to judges
houses and in 2014 he went a
stage further and got all the way
to the live shows.
! Also you might know Jake from
being a contestant in another very

where he
got all the
way to the
final and
came runner
up.

know his
passion for
non- league
football and his home town team
Bottesford Town FC. “Footie is my
main passion it will always be, but
I’m a lot better at singing”.
! Jake started playing football at
the age of 10 years when he was
influenced by his dad to go and
play to meet friends, new people
and to socialise. After 2 years Jake
was scouted to play for local
professional football team
Scunthorpe United FC.
Unfortunately it didn’t work out for
Jake in pursuit of his career of
being a professional football player
because he unfortunately broke
his leg.
! After he had fully recovered
Jake carried on playing locally and
at the age of 18 years went to play
in Australia with his close mate
Tom for a couple of years. After
Jake had returned to England from
