A day in the life of a Boohoo stylist...

Through out the project, styling has become a major importance in the magazine. There was many factors that needed to be considered. From the clothes, shoes and accessories, to the location the photos were shot. We wanted to keep the fun, young, adventerous image Boohoo represent themselves as. We scouted four models of the target age to model the outfits in a retro themed 60's diner. When we got to the diner, we laid out each out each outfit out the back before preparing the models for hair and make up.

Using a diner as the location was ideal as it is quirky yet a cool teenage hangout!

Due to the fact Boohoo is aimed at all different cultures, looks, shapes and sizes we wanted r range of unique models showing that everyone is different. Not only was this shoot representing the clothes, it gave a message to customers and reminded them to never hold back while you're young, always go out and have fun while you have the opportunity and don't shut doors on open opportunities!

''Preppy and retro!''

We decided to go for a retro look involving big hair, and bright lips. Once this was completed we were able to dress and style the models in our desired looks we put together. We then gave the models a brief about what our outlook were for the shoot.

We showed the models photos we found inspiring so they could get a feel of what we envisioned our shoot to look like.

We wanted it to be casual and fun, nothing too serious as Boohoo convey this message.

What to expect when you direct your own shoot!
