MWR Corner If you have free time, or you are spending the night at Camp Bondsteel, there are many activities that MWR organizes during the month. There are different tournaments and regular daily activities such as:  Indoor Soccer Tournament on Jan. 29, from 1800 hrs at South Town Fitness Center.  Volleyball Tournament on Jan. 28, from 1800 hrs at South Town Fitness Center.  3 Point Shootout on Jan. 16, from 1800 hrs at South Town Fitness Center.  If you like working out, Medal of Honor Hall gym and South Town Fitness Center are open 24 hrs. Every Friday of the month a 8-ball Pool Tournament, at 1800 hrs at South Town Community Center.  Karaoke Contest on Jan. 23, starting at 2000 hrs, at South Town Fitness Center Ping Pong Tournament on Jan. 30, at 1800 hrs at South Town Community Center.  Every Saturday a Ballroom and Latin Dance Class starting from 1800 hrs at South Town Fitness Center. Tuesday, Jan. 25 there will be a 5 km Martin Luther King fun run starting at 0700 hrs at South Town fitness center. Dr. Faton Morina, the director of the orthopedic clinic at UCCK, said that the machine they received as a donation does X-ray filming on the spot in the surgery room and is essential for any orthopedic surgery room. “Now interventions [surgeries] are done with minimal invasive system without wide opening of tissues and without damaging tissues, but with fixation of bones from outside, while having the images from the x-ray machine,” said Morina. Morina also added that this machine will allow the clinic to expand their capabilities. “We already have two of them in two surgery rooms, but this will allow us to use the third surgery room,” said Morina. “We are very thankful to the donators, because it has opened a big door for us to do more surgeries.” Page 4 ● THE BONDSTEEL BULLET
