THE BLUE FEATHER

“How do we get air down here, there must have built in some
small air vents. Remember, it took many men tuns to build this
stone pyramid. Shine your lights up at the ceiling. Start looking
for small holes up there,” Bardala ordered everyone.
“Over here, next to this wall. Look it goes straight up. It’s big
enough...for Moka and Eegh to check it out,” Viviana told the
crew. Moka and Eegh rode their horses over to the spot and
looked up. They began to chatter to Viviana who translated,
“They are going to see where it leads, and how far the passage
way goes. But, what are we going to do with all our horses?”
Moka and Eegh stood on top of their saddles and Viviana
levitated both of them up into the apparent air vent hole. Then
they found cracks in the rocks and started climbing. Shortly,
Moka’s voice came down from the hole in the stone ceiling.
Viviana told the crew, “Moka has found a large room above us.
It’s about the same size as this room. It has several doors, several of different sizes. There are a few things they found they
don’t understand. The room is full of Mayan-looking people only
they are all made of solid stone-carved stone. They counted
them. There are a total of twenty-three statues, all different.
Most of them have gold and emerald necklaces around their
necks. Some have gold knives, others have solid gold spears. A
few have gold hatchets, big ones. In the center of the room,
Moka and Eegh have found an enormous solid stone-carved
sarcophagus. It has carved glyphs all over the outside of it. The
strangest thing they found...there are fresh flowers on top of the
sarcophagus. Someone has been there...and not too long ago.
So, if someone got in, maybe we can get out. Now, all we need is
to all be able to get up there.”
