to rename you Eagle Eyes. There is a female mountain lion up
there; she’s about fifty meters directly above us. She’s hunting
food for her two cubs. They are waiting for a kill. You can see
their small heads peek up above the rocks every now and then.
The lioness is hunting that group of bighorn sheep, about five
hundred meters to the south of our position. There is more than
one group of bighorn sheep up on those cliffs. There is one old
male, two females, and three small ones in the closest group.
When these horses start to run underneath the lioness, she will
go after them to attack. The horses are easy prey for her, and
she will just drop down on one of them. Viviana, start using your
special powers and move the sheep as fast as you can into the
Portal door. We need to clear this whole area of the other
animals. I’ll transport the lioness and her cubs up the canyon, I
can contain them there in a bubble.”
Ek Chuah and Viviana both moved out, away from the cliff
face to better work their powers. Ek Chuah waved his broad
hands and the lioness levitated. He moved her away from the
top of the Portal door. When the lioness tried to scream out, Ek
Chuah had to control the bubble, so that the sounds were muted.
Had the horses heard those hair-raising screams, they would
have started to scatter in all directions. He used his other hand
to levitate both the young lion cubs, catching them in his invisible
grasp when they raised their tiny heads hearing their mother’s
cries. He joined all three lions together in one bundle and moved
them down the canyon to a safe place out of the way.
